Idea Generation Gallery presented selected works from the project Root Ginger: A study of red hair by the London based photographer Jenny Wicks. The fascinating photographic study Root Ginger, was inspired by the genetic lottery that shapes such physical characteristics, and encourages the viewer to ponder wider questions about social behaviour and prejudice. The study by Wicks provides a platform for debate on the biological perspective of a recessive gene and brings together a beautiful collection of portraits of red headed subjects from all ages and backgrounds. Proceeds from the project are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
